Five Island Tours Under 8 Million VND for the April 30 Holiday

company

The April 30 holiday marks the start of summer, with rising temperatures in the North and continued heat in the South. This is the perfect time to enjoy a beach getaway—fresh ocean breeze, clear waters, and a real chance to relax.

With five days off, beach destinations across Vietnam’s three regions offer ideal conditions and easy access. Depending on the location and services included, costs typically range from 5 to 8 million VND per person.

Quang Ninh – Co To Island

If departing from Hanoi, the ideal itinerary to Co To Island is 3 days and 2 nights. Due to the long and sometimes rough journey—especially for those prone to seasickness—visitors are encouraged to spend at least two nights on the island.

In recent years, Co To has become a favorite beach destination in the North, offering turquoise waters and a growing number of accommodations and entertainment options. Key attractions include Hong Van Beach (on the main island), the smaller Co To Island, the "Love Road," Co To Park, the rocky beach, Cau My, wave-viewing hill, and the iconic lighthouse.

Estimated cost per person: 4–5 million VND, including:

  • Transport from Hanoi: 200,000–350,000 VND/way/person (plus flight costs if traveling from the South)

  • High-speed boat tickets: 250,000–400,000 VND/way/person

  • Accommodation: 200,000–600,000 VND/night

  • Meals: 1–2 million VND

  • Miscellaneous expenses: 1 million VND

Hoi An – Cu Lao Cham Island

This 4-day, 3-night tour allows for 1–2 days exploring Cu Lao Cham, where you can swim, snorkel, visit centuries-old temples, drink from ancient Cham wells, and enjoy local seafood. Day tours typically end by 5 PM, while two-day tours conclude early the next afternoon.

Combine your island visit with a trip to Hoi An Ancient Town, An Bang Beach, Tra Que Vegetable Village, Da Nang city markets, or a visit to Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula.

Estimated cost per person: about 8 million VND:

  • Round-trip airfare to Da Nang from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City: ~4 million VND

  • Hotel or homestay in Hoi An: from 500,000 VND/night

  • Cu Lao Cham tour from Hoi An: 500,000–1.2 million VND (1 or 2 days)

  • Meals and transportation outside of the tour: ~2 million VND

Quang Ngai – Ly Son Island

This 4-day, 3-night itinerary is best with at least two nights on Ly Son Island—one night on the smaller island and 1–2 nights on the larger island. The smaller island offers tranquility and a more untouched landscape.

On the main island, visit Thoi Loi Peak, garlic fields, Hang Cau, To Vo Gate, Hang Pagoda, Duc Pagoda, and Am Linh Tu. On the smaller island, attractions include Mu Cu Islet, a mural village, and Ngang Beach (dubbed Vietnam’s Maldives).

Visitors may also consider an extra night in My Khe Beach (Quang Ngai), or visit historical sites in Quang Ngai or Quang Nam.

Estimated cost per person: 7–8 million VND:

  • Round-trip flights to Chu Lai or Da Nang from Hanoi or HCMC: ~4 million VND

  • Hotel/homestay: from 500,000 VND/night

  • High-speed boat to Ly Son from Sa Ky Port: 150,000–200,000 VND/way/person

Binh Dinh – Cu Lao Xanh Island

Ideal for a 4-day, 3-night trip, visitors should spend at least 2 days and 1 night on Cu Lao Xanh, also known as Van Phi Island, located southeast of Quy Nhon city. Boats to and from the island operate daily at 7:30 AM and 1 PM (return at 7 AM and 3 PM).

Attractions include the lighthouse, national flagpole, Bai Nho, Bai Dong, Thao Nguyen rocky beach, pier, and wave barrier wall. Still relatively untouched, Cu Lao Xanh is less crowded than other islands and only recently started offering overnight accommodations—mostly simple guesthouses, so booking a tour is recommended for safety and convenience.

Estimated cost per person: 7–8 million VND:

  • Round-trip airfare to Quy Nhon from Hanoi or HCMC: 3–4 million VND

  • Accommodation in Quy Nhon: from 500,000 VND/night

  • 2-day Quy Nhon – Cu Lao Xanh tour: ~1.5 million VNDMeals and local transportation: ~1.5–2 million VND
